Augie Abbondanza

Augie Abbondanza brings over four decades of financial expertise to his role as Treasurer for the NYC Organization of Public Service Retirees. His extensive career includes key positions in various city agencies and private sector firms. At the New York City Department of Human Resources Administration, Augie advanced to Director of Expense/Capital Budget/Accounts Payable, where he oversaw budgetary procedures, financial reporting, and compliance with procurement regulations.

His tenure at the New York City Department of Design and Construction was marked by his role in establishing administrative procedures and optimizing daily operations across multiple offices. Augie's private sector experience includes positions at American Stock Transfer Co. and Drexel Burnham Lambert, Inc., where he managed stock transfers, reconciled bank accounts, and prepared financial reports.

Augie's academic credentials include an MBA in Public Management from Dowling College and a BBA in Labor Management Relations from Pace University. This combination of education and practical experience equips him with a comprehensive skill set for financial management.
